okay okay, i'm sorry! it's been a whole week!
well, i'm alive...i'm in rome...it's beautiful here.
AND...i left my camera battery plugged into the wall charging...in NORWAY!
so, i've failed terribly at this whole photo-blog thing.
but Nina is mailing it to me....to arrive within the week i hope.
and until then...? maybe i can find somewhere to buy a new battery.
bummer #2 is that the vatican is closed for a holiday for the next 2 days...so i think i'll be wandering the streets for a bit...eating way too much gelato. and maybe camera-battery-shopping.
good grief.

I tried to leave you a lovely, well thought out, one could say almost poetic comment. But apparently, my navigation of the "Google Blog-o-sphere" leaves something to be desired...And unfortunately I have neither the time or memory to recreate such pithiness. So bottom line: Let the EU worry about getting a package from Norway to Rome. You--go find a nice Italian, or even another tourist type, with a digital camera. Tell him/her that you have an international audience waiting with bated breath for your next Photo/Blog. Vatican-schmatican, the Pope can wait. You have the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Borghese Park, the Pantheon, the Piazza del Campidoglio, the Forum, Palatine Hill, etc. all at your feet. Have fun! Send pictures with stories of small and great adventures! Did I mention have fun?!?
